The Town of Oyster Bay handles residential trash, recycling, bulk-item, and yard-waste pickup for Hicksville residents.
Regular trash and recyclables are collected on a scheduled basis — household trash in containers no larger than 32 gallons or 50 lbs per container.
For yard-waste (grass clippings, leaves, branches, small landscaping debris), the town provides seasonal pickup or residents can drop off at the town disposal complex.
While small bulk items and certain furniture or appliances may qualify for bulk-item pickup under town rules, construction debris, demolition waste, remodeling debris, large quantities of waste, or hazardous materials are not accepted curbside.
