Full service junk removal for Babylon homeowners, landlords, contractors, property managers and businesses. One bulky item or an entire property, our crew handles the lifting, loading, hauling and cleanup.
5 Star Demolition & Junk Removal provides professional junk removal in Babylon, NY for homeowners, landlords, contractors, property managers and businesses. A few unwanted items can turn into a major cleanup faster than most people expect: an old couch gets moved to the garage, boxes collect in the basement, a renovation leaves cabinets and flooring behind. Before long, getting everything out of the property becomes its own project.
The Town of Babylon runs a genuinely useful residential collection program, and for ordinary household garbage it is often all a homeowner needs. The moment a project turns into a full cleanout, a renovation or a garage and basement combined, the rules that work fine for weekly trash stop covering the volume. One bulk item per pickup day, a two item cap on construction debris and a call-ahead requirement for appliances were built for routine turnover, not for clearing a property in one push.
That is where full service removal earns its keep. One visit, one crew, one price, and the property is usable again.
Home cleanouts, estate cleanouts, garage cleanouts, commercial cleanouts, yard debris removal, moving-related cleanouts and post renovation cleanup across Babylon and the surrounding Suffolk County communities.
Refrigerators, washers, dryers and other white goods can go through the Town's EnCon call-ahead program, but that means scheduling a pickup by Friday for removal the following Wednesday, with the doors removed first. A full cleanout does not usually run on that timeline. 5 Star coordinates removal of white goods, sheds and post demolition debris on the same visit, so the teardown and the hauling stay with one crew instead of a call-ahead wait.
Text pictures of the items, the pile and the access points. Volume and access are what drive the price.
We review labor, disposal requirements and material volume, then quote the job before we roll.
The crew handles the stairs, the basement, the attic and the yard. You do not touch a thing.
Usable items get donated when practical, recyclables get sorted, and the area gets tidied before we leave.
Same day or next day service may be available depending on the project and crew schedule. Detailed photos sent up front are the single fastest way to lock in a slot, because the crew already knows the job description before arrival.
Pricing depends on the amount and type of material, labor involved, accessibility, disposal requirements and the overall scope of the project. You get an upfront estimate before removal begins, so an ordinary couch pickup, a garage cleanout and a construction debris job are never priced the same.
The Town's Residential Recycling Center takes non-recyclable material for a fee, and clean wood is chargeable at $100 per ton with a $20 minimum. Add the drive to West Babylon, a rented vehicle, a weekend of your own labor and repeated trips for a project that exceeds the one bulk item per pickup day limit, and a self hauled cleanout usually lands close to a professional quote without the crew doing the carrying.
Town fees current as of this page build and subject to change. Confirm with the Town before hauling anything yourself.
Real jobs, real trucks, real crews. Every one of these started as a phone call and a couple of photos.

EnCon, the Town's contractor, runs a solid residential program. It was built for ordinary weekly volume, not for cleanouts, renovations or a garage and basement at once.
A house cleanout, estate cleanout, renovation or commercial clear out blows past what makes sense for a one item per pickup day program fast. Full service removal also means you never rent a vehicle, schedule an EnCon call-ahead, or make repeated trips out to West Babylon.
Collection zones, fees and accepted materials change. Confirm current rules with the Town of Babylon Department of Environmental Control before you put anything at the curb or load a vehicle.
If you are hauling it yourself, this is the map. Every row is a decision we already make for you when you book a removal instead.
| Material | Where it goes | Cost and restrictions |
|---|---|---|

| Bulk furniture and mattresses | Curbside with regular garbage | One bulk item per pickup day, placed next to garbage and clear of vehicles. |
| White goods (refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, AC units) | Curbside, EnCon call-ahead pickup | Call (631) 491-3200 by Friday for pickup the following Wednesday. Doors removed from refrigerators and freezers first. |
| Construction and renovation debris | Curbside on Thursday or Friday garbage day | Limited to two items, or two bags under 50 lbs each. Major renovation material is not accepted curbside. |
| Clean wood | Residential Recycling Center, 57 Field Street, West Babylon | $100 per ton, $20 minimum. |
| Yard waste | Curbside, collected by Yard Waste Zone (YWZ), Monday through Friday | Up to 10 items per week. Bags of grass and leaves under 50 lbs. Branches under 4 inches diameter, bundled, under 4 feet and 50 lbs. |

Fees, hours and accepted materials are set by the Town of Babylon Department of Environmental Control and are subject to change. Verify current information with the Town before hauling anything yourself.
Babylon residents who prefer to handle their own disposal can bring approved materials to the Residential Recycling Center on Field Street in West Babylon. The Center accepts recyclables, batteries, propane tanks and electronics free of charge to Town residents, and takes non-recyclable material and wood for a fee.
Two things catch people out. Bulk white goods require calling EnCon ahead of time rather than simply setting them at the curb, and the Villages of Babylon and Lindenhurst run their own separate sanitation schedules, so a Village address does not automatically follow the Town's collection rules.

Recycling Center (631) 249-9346 or (631) 249-9347. EnCon collection line (631) 491-3200. Hours, fees and accepted materials are set by the Town and subject to change.
An eco friendly junk removal service should ask what can be reused or recycled before treating a truckload as landfill waste.
Whenever practical, reusable items are separated for donation and recyclable materials are directed toward appropriate recycling options rather than dumped as mixed waste. That matters on Long Island, where drinking water comes from an underground aquifer and improper disposal works its way down into the supply.
The Town backs this up with real programs. Babylon's town-wide recycling effort is decades old, and more than 60 percent of the Town now participates. Two free S.T.O.P. (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) days run each year for household hazardous waste, the Residential Recycling Center takes electronics, batteries and propane tanks at no charge to residents, and yard waste is collected separately from garbage all year long.
We do not handle hazardous materials, asbestos, ammunition or medical waste. If your cleanout turns up something in that category, we will tell you straight and point you to the right Town program instead of quietly putting it on the truck.
Official Town and State pages worth bookmarking before any cleanout, renovation or demolition project.
The Village of Babylon and the Village of Lindenhurst run their own sanitation departments, separate from the Town schedule above. Village of Babylon residents can call (631) 669-4878 for their collection details.
From the Village of Babylon out to Wyandanch and Copiague, our crews cover the whole Town. If your neighborhood is not listed, call anyway. We are almost certainly nearby.

Interior and exterior demolition, kitchen and bath tear outs, deck and shed demo, roofing and siding rips, flooring and masonry removal.

Skid steer servicesPricing depends on the amount and type of material, labor involved, accessibility, disposal requirements and the overall scope of the job. A single item off the driveway is a different job than a full basement carried up a flight of stairs, even if the pile looks similar. Text photos of the items and the access route and you get a firm number before anything is scheduled.
Same day or next day service may be available depending on the project and crew schedule. Photos sent early in the day give the best shot at a slot, because we can size the truck and crew without a site visit.
No. That is the entire point of full service removal. Our crew goes into the basement, attic, garage, shed or yard and does the lifting, carrying and loading. You point and we handle the rest.
For ordinary household volume, often yes. General garbage collection runs twice a week, and residents can put one bulk item, such as a piece of furniture or a mattress, at the curb on each pickup day. Once a cleanout involves multiple rooms or several large pieces at once, professional hauling is usually faster than stretching the job across weeks of collection days.
Yes. Refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, water heaters and air conditioners are worth calling out because the Town requires residents to call EnCon at (631) 491-3200 by Friday for a scheduled pickup the following Wednesday, with the appliance doors removed ahead of time. We take white goods as part of a normal removal without the wait.
Yes. Cabinets, flooring, drywall, doors, trim and general renovation debris are routine for us. The Town's curbside program caps construction debris at two items or two 50 lb bags per pickup and will not take major renovation material at all, which is exactly the gap professional hauling fills.
You can, with a few catches. The Residential Recycling Center at 57 Field Street in West Babylon runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. Electronics, batteries, propane tanks and tires are free for residents, but non-recyclable material and clean wood carry a fee, and explosives, ammunition and asbestos are not accepted at all.
Whenever practical, reusable items are separated for donation and recyclable materials are directed toward appropriate recycling options. Anything that genuinely belongs in the waste stream goes to a permitted facility.
Household hazardous waste, asbestos, medical waste, ammunition and explosives need designated Town or State programs. The Residential Recycling Center handles household hazardous material for residents, and the Town runs two S.T.O.P. Days each year. We will tell you which path applies rather than guess.
The Villages of Babylon and Lindenhurst run their own separate sanitation departments and schedules, apart from the Town of Babylon program described here. If your address falls inside either Village, its own rules apply rather than the Town's zone system. 5 Star serves both Village and Town addresses the same way regardless of which curbside program applies.
Yes. Landlords, property managers, realtors, contractors and local businesses across Babylon use us for tenant turnovers, pre listing cleanouts, office clear outs and ongoing job site debris removal.
From furniture and appliance removal to garage cleanouts and construction debris, 5 Star Demolition & Junk Removal helps Babylon homeowners and businesses reclaim their space.
